[HK] Brunch Club & Supper

IMG_2971_Fotor_CollagePersonally, I’m a brunch lover. Nothing is better than starting off the weekend with a brunch! There are few decent brunch spots in Hong Kong, but it’s a bit pricy. However, Brunch Club & Supper offers variety of brunch dishes with reasonable price!

Egg Benedicts with Smoked Salmon

Egg benedict is definitely a classic brunch dish. The key of a nice egg benedict depends on the Hollandaise sauce. The sauce is rich and creamy. I think the amount of Hollandaise sauce is right on the spot. I don’t like too much Hollandaise sauce since it might be too greasy and get sick of it. Every dish is sided with hash brown and a small salad. I like how their salad dressing is balsamic vinaigrette, which balances out the richness of Hollandaise sauce.

Croque Monsieur

When this dish was served, I was shocked. The portion is so big yet it is the cheapest out of our orders. It’s made of their homemade sour dough French toast, gammon ham and grated cheese, and topped with Béchamel sauce. The Béchamel sauce is rich and creamy, but not greasy. The crust of the toast is really crispy. I was super full in the end, and had a hard time finishing it.

Flat White

The con of the brunch is that the drinks have to be ordered separately. I ordered a flat white with skim milk. I love flat white since there’s less foam comparing to cappuccino. The coffee is smooth, and still creamy.

The ambiance is quite noisy, but chilling at the same time. You can see people sitting on stools and sipping their coffee while reading or using their laptop. However, there’s always a crowd in the front, and the restaurant doesn’t take reservation. Also, the staffs are really busy that they won’t ask you for number of people when you walk in, so make sure you stop a staff to reserve a spot! Otherwise you’ll just keep standing there.

Also, another down side of Brunch Club & Supper is that it took us a while to find it. Using google map was super misleading. If you were making a trip there, look for Crown Plaza Hotel! It’s just right across the hotel!

Happy weekend! 🙂
