[MTL] Taste MTL 2013 – Au Cinquième Péché

After having lunch at Le Newtown, my friend Ashley and I continue on with our Taste MTL foodie trip for dinner at a small French bistro on the Saint-Denis Street around the Plateau Mont-Royal named Au Cinquième Péché. It was recommended by Ashley's friend, and since we were both free, we thought that we'd give it a try.

[MTL] Taste MTL 2013 – Le Newtown

[caption id="attachment_364" align="aligncenter" width="705"] Ambiance[/caption] Le Newtown is a bistro located on rue Crescent. Despite offering the Taste MTL menu at night, they are also offering the Taste MTL menu for lunch for this week only! Therefore, my friend Ashley and I decided to have lunch there on Friday! The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but we were guessing it's because it was already passed regular lunch time (we arrived a bit past 1:00 pm). The restaurant is bright and feels pretty nice, and we got seated next to the window, which was perfect for our photo-taking.

[MTL] Taste MTL 2013 – La Société Bistro

La Société Bistro is the new dining room in the Loews Hotel Vogue locating on de la Montagne. The original Société Bistro is located in Toronto owned by Charles Khabouth, whom is the owner of the biggest individual restaurant and nightclub in Toronto. The bistro is just opened in June 2013.

[MTL] Taste MTL 2013 – Plein Sud

The second edition of Taste MTL (as known as MTL à Table) started yesterday! It is a great opportunity to discover Montreal restaurants, many of which are upscale, at affordable price! The table d'hôte menus range from $19 to $39 before taxes and tip, and some restaurants offer late-night menus after 10 p.m. at $19. It runs from November 1st, 2013 to November 11th, 2013 with over 100 participating restaurants! I've decided to start off with restaurant Plein Sud, which is located in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood.
