I admit that I’ve been a bit crazy about the food trucks in Montreal recently. I’m introducing two more food trucks today! Both came to our campus, and weren’t disappointed at all!

Landry & Filles is ranked as one of the 10 must-try Montreal food trucks by the MSN.ca. They are aspired to pay tribute to Quebec’s culinary traditions while initiating new classics. According to the MSN.ca‘s description, the Chef Landry has worked in some of the best kitchens in Montreal, such as Au Pied de Cochon.

Ployé is a type of pancake originated from New Brunswick. The pancake is made out of buckwheat and wheat flour, and it’s usually cooked on one side only. The pancake is really soft and light, and it’s spread with cream cheese, pickled greens, homemade smoked salmon, hard-boiled egg, and CAVIAR! Yes.. for $9, you get a spoonful of caviar! It is eaten like a taco, which is convenient! Eating the ploye wasn’t a mess at all! Overall, this was really satisfying, and I would definitely buy it again if they are ever around!

Lucille’s is the food truck of a restaurant located on the Monkland Ave., which is known for serving one of the best seafoods in town! My friends strongly recommended me their lobster roll when it was in downtown campus!

I’m still drooling and craving for it while typing up this post! It’s served in a buttered and toasted hot dog bun, which is the best I’ve ever had. It has a really nice taste, a bit sweet and nice buttery smell, that I can never forget. I think the bun outshines the lobster filling! The filling is lobster (obviously..), celery, green onions, and mayo. I loved their ratio of lobster meat and mayo. Personally, I try to avoid mayo as much as I can, since I don’t really like it, but Lucille’s mayo is pretty light that you won’t feel disgusted. Also, lobster meat comes in chunks!

No more food trucks for me until October!..
