About
Hi! I’m Eva, and thank you for stopping by Eat with Eva (formerly known as “WANG” Food).
A little bit about myself. I was born in Taiwan (food paradise!), moved to China at age of 9, moved to Montreal (a multicultural city with myriad ethnic food) for university, and stayed for 7 years, and now in Toronto to be a step closer to my dream career! I have graduated from McGill University with a bachelor degree in Nutritional Sciences, and working my way to become a registered dietitian.
I’m blessed and glad to be born in a foodie family, where my grandfather led me into the world of Japanese cuisine, my father who is always up to try new cuisines, and my mother who makes hearty, homemade comfort Taiwanese food (of course she learned it from my grandmother).
I used to be really (and I mean it) picky with food. My close friends can come up with a whole list of foods that I dislike and don’t eat. However, my passion and love for food just grew stronger as I’m older, hence why I chose to major in nutrition. I pretty much eat everything now, though there are still a few that “no no” for me.
As my blog tagline, “Explore culture through food discovery”, I love to travel. I always look forward to explore various local restaurants and cafes. I plan my itinerary based on local eatery.
And no, I don’t eat out everyday. I also enjoy spending times in the kitchen, creating simple, easy and healthy recipes, which I’ll also share them here!
Eat with Eva will be the place where I record my foodie trips, and share my passion for food.
Enjoy & join me on all those mouthwatering journey!

Hi,
I’ve added a new feature so you can publish your blog posts on Urbanspoon yourself without having to wait for us to do it! Here’s how it works:
– Make sure you’re signed into Urbanspoon.
– Go to your Urbanspoon blog page (not your user profile): https://www.urbanspoon.com/br/67/11859/Montreal/WANG-Food.html
– Click “Edit blog settings”.
– In the Pending Posts section, click “Edit and publish my pending posts”.
– Then, enter the “snippet” text, verify the date and URL, and press Publish.
Please make sure that:
– The URL should be the permalink to the blog post (not the blog home page, a category page, a post preview, or a service like feedproxy).
– The snippet should be 2-3 sentences (quoted from your blog post) that gives an idea of what’s in the post.
– The snippet should NOT include bylines, dates, address info, captions, tags, HTML code, etc.
Note: there may be a delay of 1-2 hours after you post on your blog until our system detects the post.
We’ll give you one week to do it yourself, then it’ll go into our queue to publish.
Thank you for all of your contributions, and let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Greg

I am 95% sure that I will be going to McGill University in September to study Life Science. 🙂 I want to be a doctor or a nutritionist, like you are! Hopefully one day my photography skills will come close to yours. Love what you’re doing!
That’s awesome and congrats!! Me too! I’m still wavering between becoming a dentist or nutritionist. And thanks for your kind words! <3
